Difficult Customers

Carol Bartz, the CEO of Yahoo! had an interesting quote the other day,

“When you get outside New York and Silicon Valley, everyone loves Yahoo. I just want to transplant all of you guys out of your cynicism. What is wrong with you guys? Go be cynical about frickin’ Google. You got me pissed off.”

It’s not surprising that your most influential customers are the most difficult to please. On the other hand, the rewards are much more substantial when you can somehow figure out a way to impress them.
