Let’s face it, the Chinese are absolutely brilliant at figuring out the most cost effective way of making knockoffs. Kindle, iPod, iPhone, Vaio, you name it.
Looking back 10, 15 years, the two most efficient weapons to increase sales revenue were advertisement and pricing. Run some ads and/or lower your pricing, and sales will go up. It was a no brainer.
So when your ads don’t work as well as before and the Chinese have got you beat in the pricing game. What do you do now?
Instead of waiting to be killed little by little, you have to take the initiative to do something that they simply have no intention of doing: create remarkable products, and market the hell out of them.
