I am afraid that you have spent too much of your life pursuing being right.
Being right is just a popularity contest. You are right if more people in your world agree with you versus those who don’t. All the marketers I talk to, especially online, especially in forums and blogs, they go out of their way to sound intelligent when asked of their opinions. They spend more effort on seeking approval of their peers than perhaps anything else. They are afraid to get criticized, and refuse to act dumb. Meaningless phrases like “maximizing ROI” or “increasing value” are overwhelmingly overused.
Here is the unfortunate truth: the more people agree with your words, the more average they are. My unadvice is to be wrong. Avoid obvious moral mistakes, but be wrong.
Have the courage to make mistakes, and maybe, you will have a chance creating something original.
