What do you do when 1 out of the 78 passengers on a flight was late for 15 minutes, and it was the last flight of the day?
Do you wait for him — the 77 on time passengers probably won’t care that much, but you might have an opportunity to impress that late person?
Or do you take off on time — leaving that one person disappointed, but probably can’t complain, and the 77 others happy but not impressed?
You can argue either way, and you are probably right either way. The worst thing to do in this case is to wait for 10 minutes, and take off.
Make the tough call, but make it, and do it early.
